Whoo Hooo! I finally got the call today from the oncologist’s office! I have an appointment in less than 2 weeks! I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to finally have some movement on this. It was almost two months of waiting just for this one referral. Now, do you suppose anything will actually happen at this appointment? Or will I be referred for more tests? I really hope not. I hope this doctor will put me on a hormone treatment or SOMETHING. Unless the real treatment is just to talk the thing to death….

Hey, I wonder if this one will have the chutzpah to tell me to lose some weight? Not one of them has, you know. I mean I know I need to lose weight. I’ve just failed at so many diets I don’t really know which way to turn. My family doc is good at writing prescriptions and he is the one who told me about being eligible for weight loss surgery but only after I brought it up.

Is there a referral to a diet doctor? I wonder how long is the weighting list for that??
