Crila is apparently a drug developed in Vietnam for the prevention of both prostatic (of the prostate gland) and endometrial hyperplasia. I wonder how long before it gets to North America….
Drug inventor gets award
Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram has received the 2006 Kovalepskaia Award given to women for scientific achievements for inventing a drug against certain hyperplasias, or unusual body growths.Nguyen Thi Binh, former vice president of Vietnam and president of the awards committee, presented the award to the scientist from Central Pharmaceuticals 2 Company in Hanoi on Tuesday. Tram has been honored for inventing Crila, a drug against benign prostatic hyperplasia and endometrial (a membrane in the womb) hyperplasia. She isolated the main ingredient for it from the sensitive plant Mimosa pudica L. Also receiving the award were female employees and faculty members of the basic physics course at the University of Natural Sciences’ physics department in Hanoi.
I wasn’t able to find out much about it; will do a little more research soon.
